Meet Alecia Williams, Your Experienced Trainer
Alecia’s journey in the pet world began in 1996 with the establishment of the Pet Pal pet sitting service in Beaufort, NC. Her dedication to exceptional pet care led her to relocate to Merritt and open Dove Landing Kennels in 2011. In 2002, The Pet Pal was nominated and selected as one of the Top 5 National Finalists for the annual Pet Sitter of the Year award given by Pet Sitters International.
Recognizing the crucial role in a dog’s well-being, Alecia earned her training certification through Animal Behavior College in 2010. The boarding facility continued to operate until May of 2025.
Alecia has now transitioned to focus solely on training and is available to help you and your family set your dog up for success.
She lives with her 2 rescue dogs: Remy, a Lab/Plott mix (Labrahound) and Indy, a New Leash on Life graduate.
A Commitment to Excellence and Community
Alecia’s commitment extends beyond the business. In partnership with Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), she was the volunteer trainer for the Pamlico Correctional Institution’s New Leash on Life program from 2012-2020. The impactful program paired inmates with shelter dogs, providing both with valuable learning and rehabilitation opportunities.
Alecia’s dedication was recognized in 2019 by the Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce as she was awarded the County Volunteer of the Year award. Her continued involvement further demonstrates her deep care and understanding of animals and the bond they share with their families.
